Clark Fork Scenic Trip

Kidscelebrating.jpgA ten mile run with three small class I rapids. This is just enough thrill for those who are too young or not interested in getting wet. It is also the perfect length to keep the smaller children occupied while the thrill seekers run the “Gorge.” This trip can be run in succession with the “Gorge” and is a perfect alternative for large groups who have several needs to be met. The scenery is magnificent and wildlife viewing and birding is abundant.

On a full day trip we will stop at a sandy beach for our special three course lunch. There are several interesting areas for the younger children to play at, and of course river swimming is always available.

Sunrise Birding Float

You choose the level of adventure: Clark Fork, Alberton Gorge, or the Blackfoot River. The birds are just getting ready for breakfast at this time of the day. This is longer than a half day float and shorter than an all-day float. Bagels, muffins and juice are served on the boat while floating along the river.

Wednesday Night Floats

The every popular Wednesday Night Floats. WNF has been a staple of the Canoe rack for years and will of course be back this year. If you haven’t heard WNF is an opportunity to simply get out. We will enjoy the evening on the Clark Fork and will see Missoula from a new perspective. Novice to expert, young and old, everyone who can swim can come. Make a plan for a mid –week decompression from work and enjoy Missoula from the water. We even do the shuttle for you and will show you where the bus service runs so you can go anytime you want.

In Town Scenic Missoula Float

Right thru the middle of Missoula this is a perfect run for those with little time but who want to get on the river. Convenient and fun we take the river path instead of the runners path along the side of the river. If you want we will stop at the rope swing.

This is a perfect short float and a chance to get on the water and see the best part of Missoula from another perspective.
