The Alberton Gorge of the Clark Fork River offers a spectacular natural theme park adventure.

The Alberton Gorge also features Glacial Lake Missoula remnants with unusual geology, and exciting geological history. During July and August the big volume insures water all season long with class III rapids on the “Gorge” well into the fall. The main part of the Gorge is 11 miles long with 13 major rapids.

The second half of the “Gorge” is the perfect Class I scenic trip for those who just want to relax and enjoy quiet beauty.

  • The air show features ospreys and bald eagles.
  • The land show with guest appearances by deer, bear, beaver and marmots.
  • The major attraction, our whitewater ride through the “Alberton Gorge”.
  • A 13 mile trips with 12 major rapids such as Tumbleweed, Fang, and Boat Eater.
  • Jump from Cubic Rock or jump into the water funnel at Fish Creek.
  • Our incredible 3 course lunch.
  • Great Family Adventure.

Scenic Float on the Clark Fork

The Clark Fork in Montana is a big volume river and one of the largest rivers in Montana because of its confluence with the Blackfoot River and Bitterroot River in Missoula.* In May and June the “Gorge” is a time for big walls of water, huge hits, the rugged sheer pleasure of adrenaline, and a powerful adventure on a class IV river.

  • Same great air show as the whitewater trip.
  • Same land show with a beautiful miniature purple canyon.
  • Places to play and swim.
  • A 11 mile float of class I-II rapids.
  • A scenic adventure for the youngest or those who do not want to get wet.

    Blackfoot River Trips

The Blackfoot River in Montana is “the most beautiful river valley I have seen thus far” as quoted by Meriwether Lewis 200 years ago. The river remains one of the most beautiful in the West, and was the subject of the famous movie, “A River Runs Through It.” Rafting is best done in the spring and early summer because of the very low volume. By mid July the low water level makes it too rocky for safe navigation.

  • Out of this world Montana Scenery.
  • Great Class III rapids in May and June.
  • Fun Class I rapids in July.
  • Eagle nests right on the river.
  • History and stories.

Both rivers are filled with adventure, beauty, birds of prey, wildlife, history and unusual scenery. The Blackfoot adventure is more scenic and relaxing, while the Alberton Gorge is thrills and spills. You choose your adventure.
