Stan's Dutch Oven Potatoes
We always serve this on our exclusive dinner floats.
- 1 lb. bacon
- 6 med-large potatoes
- 1 can green beans
- 1 med. onion
Line a Dutch oven with tin foil or spray very, very well.
Chop onion and cut potatoes into big bite sized chunks.
Cut bacon strips into big pieces.
Fry bacon in the bottom of Dutch oven just enough to get some of the fat fried out and then fry onion with the bacon until the onion is golden.
Combine everything else plus the bean juice in the Dutch oven.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes or the same amount of time with charcoals with 8 charcoals on the bottom and 6 charcoals on top. Serves 6.
To serve 8, increase potatoes by 2 and add a second can of green beans.
